So there I was, enthralled by an article regarding Burma’s continued oppression of it’s people, when another headline caught my Eye. “License to Lie for Italian Women”. Having just finished Eat Pray Love, I am intrigued by Italian culture. So the just of the article- A court ruled that lying in Italy is legal when your honor as a woman will be damaged if you tell the truth. Coincidentally, the same court ruled that a woman who wore tight jeans could not be raped because the jeans could not be removed with out her consent. Thinking I will hold off on that Tuscany trip….but then again who doesn't want to be unaccountable for their actions.
Leave it to Italy!
